Are YOU Bendy Too?

It took me 9 years before I realized how big a role my hypermobility was playing in my health. It was that discovery which finally led to my recent diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (it's a collagen disorder of several different variations )

The drawing above, the Beighton Score, is what a medical professional will use to rate your "bendiness", tho it's not the be all and end all on the subject.

more on the subject soon...

Hi Annie,
Nice job on your blog. I got it in my Google reports for EDS. You can set that up easily through Google options to find lots of info about EDS from all over the web. There is a bunch of junk out there too, but it is pretty easy to weed through. I was just diagnosed with EDS hypermobility type in May 2006. It's been quite a journey of discovery and relief. If you haven't found the Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation web site yet, please visit--huge amounts of accurate info and the message boards are the best (IMO). Super supportive group and there is a conference coming up this summer that I am already registered for. www.ednf.org Sorry to hear you have been diagnosed with EDS, but you are not alone and we welcome you to this very interesting and wonderful group of people.
Wishing you the best and hope to see you on the message boards.

I found your sight to be full of information for me. I have KTS and EDS. I have been to several hospitals, including the Mayo clinic in Rochester. I saw Dr. Driscoll, and several others. They can not give me what classification of EDS that I have, the test always comes back inconclusive. Mainly my skin is extremely stretchy, thin and transcluent. I have a son who is 9 and showing major signs of flexablility. So we are working on getting him treatment. I do have a blog that you can go to if you are interested. It is http://iamjessicarodriguez.blogspot.com/
I am on a local tv program for weight loss, and this is my blog for the show. I have info on it about my disorders as well. I hope you can follow my blog, and I will follow yours as well. I liked your information on here.
